We gather to pray for the blessing of the town, because we believe that, as we seek to be in unity with each other before God, and to align our prayers with His, we will begin to see changes for the better in the culture, and practice, of all aspects of life, for all those who live or work in the town.
The Bible speaks in Psalm 133 of how real unity amongst God's people results in His commanding blessing to occur. We do not seek that unity in order to to "twist God's arm" so that He will do what we want, but rather we recognise that as we seek to become of one mind and heart, with Him & with each other, and to show Jesus-style, servant-hearted, lovingkindness to one another; these things will delight His heart, and will help us to flow with what He wants to do to bless the town.
We were thrilled to learn, in February 2011, that the motto on our town's coat of arms is right in line with our desire to bless the town through prayer together. Click here
It is an awesome privilege to join with our heavenly Father in His desire to bring blessing to our town!
